Dobcross Silver Band

The Dobcross Silver Band was delighted and honoured to be invited to perform at the Oldham MBC Mayoral Sunday Service at Oldham Parish Church on Sunday 20th September.

The service marked a very special occasion as local Saddleworth councillor Pam Byrne was sworn in as the new Mayor of Oldham.

It was a privilege for the band to be part of such an important civic event and to provide the music for the service. We were proud to represent Dobcross and the wider Saddleworth community on such a memorable day.

Why not come along and listen to our annual Brass on the Grass free concert, at 2pm on Sunday 19th July at the Church Fields in Dobcross….If the weather isn’t kind to us, then the concert will be held in the band club instead.

Another fantastic performance from the Silver Band at yesterday’s annual concert for our Vice Presidents and Friends.

Our Musical Director, Jason M. Smith, put together an entirely new programme, and it was clear from the atmosphere in a full Band Club that it hit exactly the right note.
