Our MD, Jason M Smith said of the recent additions:
“I am delighted that, yet again, we have continued to recruit well, adding strong, experienced players to the band. We have also recruited promising young talent which highlights the importance of future legacy at the band and ensures we remain progressive.
It is rare to have a full band in these modern times and having a full contingent now, including a full percussion section, is very pleasing.
The future looks very bright indeed!”

The Dobcross Silver Band was delighted and honoured to be invited to perform at the Oldham MBC Mayoral Sunday Service at Oldham Parish Church on Sunday 20th September.
The service marked a very special occasion as local Saddleworth councillor Pam Byrne was sworn in as the new Mayor of Oldham.
It was a privilege for the band to be part of such an important civic event and to provide the music for the service. We were proud to represent Dobcross and the wider Saddleworth community on such a memorable day.
